Welcome

I am a graduate of Glasgow School of Art where I studied Drawing & Painting and Silversmithing & Jewellery. Having been a Lecturer in Fine Art for many years I have now returned to my roots in Argyll to focus on the development of my own work. I enjoy using a broad range of media and create my work adopting a playful, experimental approach. This includes drawing, painting, printmaking, assemblage, mosaic work and designer jewellery.

Our relationship with nature is a constant source of inspiration to me and the physical experience and satisfaction of working outdoors is the starting point in all of my work. My work is a response to the landscape, and plein air studies, drawings and paintings are further developed in the studio blending experience, knowledge and memory of place. My most  recent work involves exploring and developing ideas linking Labyrinths with Pre-historic Rock Art. This includes drawing and painting and creating labyrinths in the landscape.
